Buy me a Christmas present.  I have a Glock 23 that I want to buy a light for.  I am completely clueless.   So what light can I start dropping hints for.

Streamlight TLR-1 or TLR-2 or Surefire X-300

Insight WX150... $150 for 150 lumens. Best bang for the buck out there IMO.

Nothing wrong with a Streamlight TLR-3 in my opinion. It's what I run on my 23, and I am very happy with it.

All I can comment on is the Surefire X300, because it's all I own. You definitely can't go wrong with it. The newest ones are 170 lumens instead of the old 110s, so make sure you get the newest version.

As far as the battery situation, yeah they use expensive batteries, but they last a REALLY long time. Especially since you won't use it very often.

I own an X300 and a TLR-1.  I'd pick the TLR, especially when you figure in the price.  The X300 is $250, the TLR-1 can be found around $90.

Almost everything about this post is terribly incorrect.  Ignore it.

TLR1 and TLR2 do not use rechargeable batteries, nor does Surefire.

They all use CR123A Lithium batteries.

You can get the streamlight tlr-1s for just over $100, and it's 160lumen led and strobes... I picked it over the insight and the surefire priced itself out

The factory Glock like is a piece of shit.

Get a TLR-1 or an X300.

is the DG switch the one that comes back and along the grip? That's a sweet switch
