[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help – which barrel is better?

I want a new barrel and I could get either a factory 228 barrel from sig or a barrel from Jarvis Inc. Out of the two, witch would you chose?

Having literally never seen a worn out 228 barrel, I have to ask why you feel you need a new barrel. If you will be shooting lead bullet reloads, definitely you will want the Javis, otherwise I would tend to prefer the factory barrel.

Its for a P228 build up from an 80% frame. I'm really excited about the project even though its going to take a long time to finish. I found a few factory barrels for about $100, so I'll probably just go with one of those.
