| I know that some of you have one or all of these firearms and i am trying to decide between Glock,M&P or XD can i get some suggestions and opinions on one or all . |
No, I use my G17 with the left hand all the time, to include reloading/malfunction clearing/drawing and holstering, etc. I use the middle finger to hit the mag catch. Works just fine. |

I have an HS2000 (the XD before it was the XD) - love it but no preban highcaps I have an M&P9c - no preban highcaps I have a Glock 19 - lots of pre-ban highcaps, parts are all over the place, accessories abound. Can be had on the cheap, REAL cheap, especially used. The HS2000 was the best value at $219.99 back in 2001. You can modify some other preban highcaps to use in the HS2000/XD and they work OK. But I would prefer factory to trust my life to. Perhaps my favorite of the three for range shooting or home defense. I would not choose it as my carry gun. The Glock 19 is super reliable, parts and mags are common, I trust it implicitly. Does not fit my hand comfotably, but I still shoot it well. It is my go to gun in case of an emergency and I have stocked up on about 20 preban highcap mags for it. I also have a bunch of Scherer 33 rounds mags. The M&P9c is my preferred gun for carry. Feels good in the hand, slightly smaller than the Glock 19. Only giving up 2 rounds between highcap mags and the 10 round postban limit in my state, so I'm not sacrificing too terribly much. It is hard to beat the Glock 19 if it fits your hand. |

I love the Glock 19, I like the Glock 17, I have been issued a M&P 9 for about 3 years. As much as I love the Glock 19, I can shoot the M&P and the M&P9c a tad better than my beloved Glock 19, so The Glock is currently in my safe, and a M&P9c is on my hip as I type this. Try to shoot both if possible, prior to buying. The money you spend for rental fees at a range would be cheaper than the money you might spend on a gun that isn't right for you. What fees good for one person might not for another. Any of the Glock or M&P 9mm's are great guns in my experience. I have no experience with the XD series, so I can't comment. |

I know your choices are as stated XD, Glock or M&P. Out of those, I think you are better off with the XDm. But if you want to know the real truth, you need to add H&K to your list then I would tell you to get a P30. This weapon trumps all of your stated choices. |
With the worst trigger ever put in a quality firearm. If you get a CZ do yourself a huge favor and get one with a safety instead of a decocker. If a Glock fits your hand, you will not find a better gun out there. |

Glock 17, 34 or CZ-75 or SP-01 if you want to shoot and shoot well. If you want something pretty to look at get whatever tickles your fancy. The M&P seems to be the closest competition to the glock in terms of shootability, but I dont trust anything smith and wesson makes anymore, durability wise. Others might, I dont. |
