Between a like new (total of 35 rounds through it) RI 2-tone Tactical model...and a SA MIL-SPEC..used with about 2K through it. Price is about the same, and the RI still has the box and all the paperwork....Or should I go to the dark side and look for a .....a...... that thing that rhymes with "clock"... |

IMHO, you got 3 good directions there.
But, if you think it might be your defensive pistol at some point, then I would go with something that includes a 21 in the model number. I've owned all 3 of those. The RIA is nice, lots of features for the price, I ended up trading mine to my dad for his SA Loaded after only 50 flawless rounds. Don't know about customer service and RIA if you were to need it though. SA, good customer service if you were to need it. And, then the thing that rhymes with Clock, my SF is what I carry at work everyday. So the answer is. I don't know what you want. Something tells me you want a 1911. |

lots of votes for the mil-spec...why...is the quality that much better than the RI?....is there something else I'm not considering???? ![]() IMO - Yes
I have no experience with the RI, but I do with SA, so I would choose SA. When it comes to needing info on 1911s there's a few guys here that when they speak, I listen. SGB is one of them. |
