I need a 9mm. I have narrowed it down to 3 choices. Glock 19, Walther P99, Springfield XD9. I am leaning towards the Walther because of the round capacity. Ar the hi-caps for this gun available and reasonably priced? I know Glock stuff is dime a dozen which is nice, but they have lower capacity. I do not know much about the XD9 other than that I shot a 3 gun with a friends and liked its feel. Any direction or advice would be appreciated. |
dont they all have the same rnd capacity w/ thier origional mags???![]() get the glock-19 it can use 15 rnd g-19 mags; 17rnd g-17 mags; 31/33 rnd G-18 mags hows that for hi-capacity? next to that, mags are more available and cheaper than the other brands h/w, you might not like the trigger and/or grip angle/feel get the one that feels good to you |
| If you've already shot an XD, maybe try to find a range the rents G19's or someone who has one that you could shoot a few rounds through (there are LOTs of G19's out there....many call it the "prefect" Glock, but I say it's the G23....). Get the one that feels and shoots the best for you. |
Yea, and some people don't like to weigh their pants down to the ground with all that heavy crap all the time. A 9mm or .40 Cal will still stop someone in an attack! The Glock IS the original. I would say that should be your #1 choice: for trigger pull, weight, and duribility. The XD would come in at a close second: I don't like the trigger pull quite as much. I own both, and the Glock is just a litte bit better. |
Some of us old Timey rednecks wear pants that fit, belts to hold them up, and Carry MAN size calibers |
Good idea! |
