I am looking at taurus semi autos for a CCW. our local hardware store has a large variety of them in stock.I have a Glock 21SF that I carry now on cooler summer nights and all the time during the falls/winter/spring. Problem I have is during the summer the 21SF is way to big for the lighter clothing I wear during the day to beat the heat. I noticed Taurus had alot of great guns that seemed to fit the bill but I dont really know alot about them for CCW. So I am asking everyone what do you carry and how reliable is it?
Side note: Im a big guy 6'5" tall and 270LBS so something so small that I can palm it isnt preffered :) |

I'm a 45acp fan myself. I have a Glock 30 that I shoot thousands and thousands of rounds out of at the range but.... It's a bit heavier than my Taurus PT145 which is also 45acp. It's also slightly larger. I shoot them both at the range but for carry the Taurus is what I carry. By the way Taurus has a lifetime warranty. I don't think you can go wrong.

I have a 709 slim for carry and I'm a fan. The trigger is what sold me on it. Good luck finding a wide selection of holsters though. Mine rode in a Blackhawk #4 pocket holster till I happened on a Tagua leather holster in a shop somewhere. I'm not entirely sure if it's supposed to be a left handed holster or an IWB holster but it works pretty well as one. Surprisingly, that crappy pocket holster held up pretty well for what it is.
