My wife wants to start carrying 'on her person'. She carries a Kahr CW9 in her pocket book now. She wears blouses and nice jeans in the winter and dressy capris in the summer. She never tucks her shirt in, but always maintains a classy up kept look. She is thick to BBW with fuller hips and smaller waist. No pics and no requests for pics. Just any suggestions from you or your wives.
ETA: By 'on her person' I meant: what type of holster system and manufacturer does Arfcom and their ladies prefer. ETA2: Kahr CW9 is the carry gun. She loves it. The first handgun she truly enjoys shooting and carrying. |

Ruger LCP. Also, google CrossBreed SuperTuck. Skinny, good looking chick conceals a full size 1911 with a skintight shirt. Not saying our wife needs a 1911, but anyone can conceal just about anything with the right holster. This is exactly what I am asking. What holster do women of the men's SO use. I'll edit my original post to clarify. |

Theis holster.
Pretty much exactly a SuperTuck, but cheaper, and you can talk to the guy who hand makes it. Turn around time from order to delivery is less than a week(to southern WI anyway). Extremely comfortable, my wife has worn mine with my Wilderness belt and G21 and she was comfortable...and it concealed pretty well. She will have the same setup for her G19. |

Most of the females I know that carry use a special purpose purse. I sure wish I could ask for pictures in this forum..........but I can't. ![]() My wife wanted to do that too. I simply said, purses are pretty easy to steal, are you sure you want to carry in your purse? She quickly changed her mind. |

Check out this ladies video here.
She has a lot of good info pertaining to women and carrying. ETA - My wife carries a Glock 26 appendix in a CC Holsters TLC rig. |

She carries in her purse now and the above mentioned reason is why she wants to stop. Oh and the "wait Mr. Rapist let me get my gun out of my purse before you attack me", thing. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogGBPVk5GQk "Falia Freedom" has a lot of vids on weapons. The second link is about some concealed carry options for women - including CCW specifically with feminine fashion. AKA - concealed carry without having to dress like "Christine Costa". |

I just went to a local gun shop to find a holster and I really just found out how hard it is to find the right one. I am not a big person at all, I am about 5ft 9in and I weight about 140-145. Im not an overly filled out guy. The Army has helped me be able to defend my own in a fist fight, but that being said all it takes is a guy who weighs 220 or so to put my ass in the grass. That being said, a lady who is about my height might be in a similar position, as I usually wear jeans/cargo shorts and a tight fit or athletic shirt. I often wear track jackets, so I can cover a bulk, but your holster depends a lot on the location and wardrobe.
Start off by telling us a bit about her dress (If you dont mind), and perhaps the climate of where you live. I live in Texas, so anyone walking around May-September with a jacket on is obviously packing iron. I can usually get away with a less conspicuous track jacket –– if weather and heat permit. I was looking at the Kangaroo band/strap that goes around the upper belly/chest and you can tuck a gun there. 5.11 Tactical makes shirts with holsters. Also, look at the option of having her carry in her back pocket. You might also have the get something like a glasses case for a breast pocket on a dress shirt, or a utility knife case for the belt. Its there, it doesnt have to be "out of sight" since it is disguised as something else. Even look at the option of a shoulder holster and she can wear a shawl or something over it. For something like a Ruger LCP, I do not see it being a very difficult thing to conceal. Me and my dad just got one for my mother for christmas, ill post back in a couple weeks when we figure out what she does. |

My wife hates wearing belts with her outfits. In fact, most of her skirts and pants don't even have loops for one. She uses this and I can't get her to even try anything else: http://www.remoraholsters.net/ It works in her purse as well, and doesn't come out of a properly sized purse pocket when drawing. Get the reinforced top one. I actually kind of liked it for the brief time I used it (I wasn't going to let her use it before I tested it) but prefer something that attaches for the simple fact that I don't get dressed up daily and am way more active. |

My has " the belly band". She don't use it much but she says its comfortable when she does wear it. She prefers to carry using a fake day planner.
I bought the belly band for her at a local gun show , it was 30.00 . Seems to be built very well. Hope this helps. |

Go with a holster specifically designed for women. My wife uses the Flashbang Holster for her LCP or J Frame. It attaches to the bra. She says it is comfortable and she can conceal it even with tight shirts.
While I agree bigger is better, she is a B-cup and they hide both of them great!
ETA: I meant bigger guns are better!!!!!!

ETA: I meant bigger guns are better!!!!!! ![]() That's funny as hell !!! Flash Bang holster won't work with a Crimson Trace grip installed on our J-Frame.... The lazer part prevents the kydex from fully snapping around the cylinder. |
