Ok, can I get a clear step by step on what happens inside the glock? After you rack it to put one in the chamber, aim, and then pull the trigger. Just need some back up, thank you in advance. Im just having one of those safety, anti-glock kinda things going on with a buddy and need some ammo to fire back so to speak. He just wont get past why they ARE safe.

1.  You are arguing about a 'gun' being safe.

2.  You are arguing about a gLock.  perhaps this should have been number 1

1 + 2 = Lose

Either way its a losing arguement.

Actually, it's what happens on the outside that makes them safe.  That one is real easy to see.  It's called keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.

You "cock" a Glock by pulling the trigger.

No, you cock a GLOCK, by the trigger being ready to be pulled... (racking the slide to reset the trigger)

Pulling the trigger would be "un'cocking" it.

No a Glock is only partially cocked when you rack the slide the striker is pulled all the way to the rear and released by puling the trigger.

How the F%^$ did this thread happen?

I feel retarded after reading this.

Everyone go take apart a glock and look closly at all the actions that cause the firing pin to hit the round. It does'nt get any safer than Glock, exept in the hands of untrained, uneducated morons.

EDIT: I like that link.

The actual truth would lie somewhere in the middle of both of our statements, when the trigger is pulled fully to the rear, it would be (for lack of a better term) "uncocking"it. While when it is reset, like I said, it is "partially cocked". So in truth, pulling it right to the breaking point would be truly cocking it.

So we are both right, and both wrong!
