Help with value of Springfield TRP > 1911 Discussions

I'm just thinking about trading in my TRP and of course it all comes down to is it going to be worth parting with it. I'm guessing a dealer is going to offer me around 800 and maybe up to 1,000 .... I guess I just wanted to know if anyone else had a thought about it. I forgot how to work photo bucket.com so this is the best picture I could find of the 1911

they won't give you that much. Maybe 500. Gun stores make a lot of their money off used guns. I would sell it privately and make more money.

For a used stainless, I would expect about 800-1000 private sale.

How old are the night sights?
I bought my latest TRP from another member here with 2010 sights, 6 extra mags, and an extra set of Larry Davidson grips for $1100.

Gun shop may give you $800, sell it privately for around $1K.

Its a gun that requires more love and time then I can give it

. I've had it for a number of years and my guess is in the past 8 years it's maybe seen 200 rounds though it. I'm meeting with a guy Tuesday about selling/ trading. I'll let you know how that turns out.

Went to see my guy at the gun shop who sounded like he was ready to toss 900 my way on a trade but.....

I had the glock 21 (45acp) in my hand for about 2 minutes before I decided I would hate myself. Lol I left with my 1911.
