Need some additional help in selecting another Hi Power to add to my stable. I already own a late 80's production model and an Inglis and really feel the need to add another to the collection. I see that Sarco has a few advertised in thier latest shotgun news ad Daewoo DP51 Korean Hi Power - $265-300 Original Browning Hi Power new style external extractor - $375-500 early style internal extractor - $425-550 Kareen Israeli Hi-Power - $295-310 FEG Hi Power - $340-375 so, what does the group think - I know i've read a few good reviews on the Israeli HI Powers, but does anyone have any experience on the Daewoo's Thanks now of course if I could find a FM Detective for $400-500 i'd be really happy |

You get what you pay for. 2. Magazine & parts interchangability and availability on Kareens & Daewoo is anyones guess. 3. Resale value on a clone will never be close to what you paid. 4. Just because it's called a Hi Power doesn't mean it's actually a copy of the Hi Power. |
| I agree to an extent. The problem is I bought an FEG about 5 years ago for $200 and I'm pretty sure I can get more than that for it now. I also bought a new Hi Power about the same time and I'd probably be doing well to get 80% of what I paid for it. So new versus used needs to be considered as does declining availability and appreciating price if even an inexpensive arm is no longer as available as it once was. |

I think that's very true - I remember a few cheap the FM Detective's were going and now it's really tough to track em down. I'm really looking for a clone so that I don't overshoot either my Browning or Inglis I think the last 4 range trips i've shot the Hi Power the most, with my Taurus 1911 next. Thanks |
