I recently acquired a BHP that has very few markings on it. On the left side of the slide it simply says "F.N. Browning" the right side of the slide has the 6 digit serial number below the ejection port. It also has a T with a star above it on the right rear slide area. The only other markings are serial on frame and barrel, and a proof mark on the right side of the frame on the trigger guard as well as on the barrel above the serial number. This proof mark looks like a candle holder. The finish on the pistol is the enamel kind, not bluing. I know, this thread is worthless without pics and am working on it. Any initial thoughts? ETA: A man on another forum tells me 1987 Argentina production for military.     |
