I'm home for Christmas and had a chance to look at some of my dads guns. He has this High Standard Supermatic Military |

Could just be dirty and gummed up from decades of use (22 ammo is dirty stuff) and no thorough cleaning (my guess) or you could have a broken trigger return spring. Go here for a schematic of your specific pistol... www.histandard.info/manuals/ You might find parts at Gunparts Corp. www.gunpartscorp.com/ I would definitely try taking off the grips and doing a complete cleaning and relube with a quality CLP or similar before I tried any disassembly. Great little pistol! |

Well after talking to my dad, he said his father got it back in the late 60's. They shot a few mags and then it wouldn't reset, it's been in a case ever since. My dad also has a Sport King talk about dirty, took forever to clean that thing today. I took it appart today, super clean. It just won't reset the trigger.... off to find the parts. Thanks, Ben |
