What holster do you guys prefer for a small-of-back carry and for a frontal IWB?  I would like a stiff holster that keeps the form of my Beretta 9000s to its easy to re-holster.  Any suggestions?

I have no experience with SOB carry, but for IWB I'll second the nomination of the VM-II.

5th for the VersamaxII or the Watch six. Sparks make great iwb holsters.
As for sob carry I would advice against it. Whats going to happen to you spine if you end up landing on that gun for some reason. I would imagine if one fell hard enough on a pistol carried in the sob type holster you might just break your back.

I've been checking out a lot of holsters. I was curious for you guys that are using the Milt Sparks Versa Max 2.  You are always carrying strong side?  I was thinking a front side clip on holster may be ideal for me so the many times I get in and out of my vehicle during the day, I could slip the holster off and on and reduce the exposure of my weapon.  I takes a minute to snap and unsnap the holster on the versa max 2, OR doesn't it?  It seems to be pretty secure with the wide spaced snaps.  I didn't plan on wearing it strong-side so the full cant may not be quick for frontal wear.  Are any of you wearing this front side?  I assume you guys like this holster because it's comfortable for long periods too?

I decided the SOB holster is probably NOT a smart choice, THANKS GUYS!!!

Any suggestions for some kind of car holster.  Something to keep my gun accessible for when I'm driving a lot.  Take a look at this sear-holster I found.

If any of you use something else similiar to this, can I see a picture or link.  I found a seat cover somewhere that creates a small pocket ideal for a mid size pistol.  When the pistol is enclosed, you can't even see it through the window.  I can't remember where I saw it though.

Similiar to the VM2 is the HBE Leatherworks COM3.  This one is for my XD40sub with shark trim I just got.  Real nice custom holster.

I can tell you one thing.

If you need a holster soon the for mentiond holsters are out.
If you want a great holster you can use in just a few days then get a Comp-tac.

A great holster a great value in days not months.

I know that the VM II, and the others are quality products but come on, 4 months.

+1. Comp-tac makes great holsters. I have a CTAC for my G19 and P239, and my GF has one for her XD.

ETA: I also use a comp-tac belt holster for competition.

I'm not a fan of SOB carry,it's comfortable until you sit down.I've also tried the VM2, but I'm
the only person in the world that doesn't like ithock.gif.So I guess I'm just an OWB guy. That being
said i just orderd a holster from Gary Bromeland (OWB) 6 weeks out hope this one does it for me.

Milt Sparks backorder time is sitting at about 14 weeks for the VM2.  It is worth the wait.

If you want kydex, look into the Threat Solutions UCR - I don't know if they make one for the Beretta 9000 though.

Craig and Audrey are great folks to deal with.  They are a stocking dealer, no waiting.

Here's a Don Hume S.O.B. holster that I picked up for $40.00 I was supprised how stiff the leather was, and it has a great grip on the gun. I don't worry about it falling out. When I first started using it it felt like someone could detect it under my shirt. everytime I would wear it when I was out with the wife I would ask her "Can you see my gun" She said she couldn't detect it under my shirt. Maybe it was that I just felt wierd because I wasn't used to it. but Awesome value for the money.
