I looked EVERYWHERE and really didn't find any ammo in the time frame or amount needed for the academy. My brother in law told me about Delta Precision ammo and said it worked out well for him on the range. Does anyone have any feedback regarding this brand of ammo? Also, be advised that this is reloaded ammo in .40 and is FMJ. Thanks guys.

My old department orders a lot of the Delta precision reloaded stuff in .40, and I've shot (and watched others shoot) several hundred rounds at a time. I've never seen a dud or squib, and no bullet setback or backwards primer, etc. Not to say it can't happen, but their quality control seems very good.
You'll see a variety of cases (headstamps and brass/nickel-plated). Not sure what bullet or powder they use, but the stuff is pretty dirty to shoot. All in all, I'd buy a case or two if the price was right, but I can't buy for personal use on the dept's state bid price. |
