How much should I pay to have my 1911 refinished and have a Wilson beavertail grip safety installed?  I have never had gunsmith work done before and my 8 year old 1911 needs a new finish pretty bad.  I was thinking molyresin or molyteflon.  I was going to do it myself, but then found out I would have to sandblast the parts for the finish job.  I figured it would be cheaper and easier to have a professional who has the proper tools and experience do it.  Does anybody know what a fair price on a job like this would be?

I can't help with the price, but try emailing some of the guysHERE.  You'll know the spread after a few replys.

And post pics, eh?

I'm guessing $2-300.  Talk to Wilson Combat directly, they are great to work with and the Armor Tuff coating is as good as any of them.
