So I just picked up a M&P9c today.    Very pleased with it. The previous owner was very nice and told me everything about it. He had only had it briefly as he received it on a trade. Anyways, he told me it had the Apex RAM kit installed. He included the receipts from the previous owner. The work was done at a reputable shop. My question is how can I tell it was installed. I was trying out the trigger and the reset does not sound as prominent as I hear on videos online. Ive attached two pictures; one of the left over parts and one of the receipt with labor cost. There is a decent amount of parts left in the baggie. Im not sure if they are factory parts or APEX parts. Hopefully someone here can verify it. THe owner also stated the feed ramp was polished, which it is. Just hoping someone here can help me tell if the RAM kit is installed or if they parts in the baggie are APEX parts.

The parts in the bag are factory parts..don't see anyhting about a RAM

The RAM will be a bar that is in place of where the internal lock would be.

One way to check it is to make sure the gun is empty. The drop the slide on an empty chamber, pull the trigger and hold it.

Rack the slide, return to battery.

Let the trigger go and return. If you hear an very audible click, then there is a RAM.

In this pic, you can see the end of the RAM, under the sear, with the trigger bar resting in it's slot.

If you take the slide off, and look under the trigger bar back under the sear block, you should be able to see the RAM without breaking the firearm down further. The trigger bar should be resting on the flat portion of the RAM (Flat portion up). I've put the RAM in 4 pistols now and they all sound fairly pronounced.

the reciept doesn't mention the RAM.  just the "trigger kit".

The sear, trigger spring and plunger in that bag are factory and not Apex.

True, but the baggies says Apex RAM right on it. I got it all figured out over on MP-Pistol. Long story short, mine is a thumb safety model :( No RAM for me yet. It does have some sort of trigger kit whether it is the duty or comp.

I wonder if that was just the baggie he had on hand when he was packing up the parts.

if it has the striker spring it should be the comp model. If this is your SD gun, I would change the striker spring back to stock.
