My friend bought a Glock with a New York trigger. He would like to put a standard glock trigger in it. Is the Glock NY trigger just a different connector? Is it a spring and connector replacement? I've replaced trigger connector in my Glock so I don't think I'd have any problems doing it I just want to be able to tell him what parts to order.

call your local Glock armorer......

if he is not available.....buy a trigger spring and replace the NYspring assembly......done.

No need to call an armorer I already have my glock tool.

From everything I've read, a NY trigger spring is recommended with a 3.5 lb connector, but it's easy to distinguish from a stock connector.  There are several videos on YouTube about changing our springs and connectors.

Check out this video for re-assembly.  He also has a good video of how to detail strip.  The standard trigger spring should go in with the hooks forming an S shape.  Also, I was recently putting together my frame and snapped the trigger housing pin, so be careful when putting it back in.  I wound up ordering a new one made of metal instead of ordering a new plastic one.

Here's a comparison of a 3.5 lb connector and a stock connector:

When installing , it snaps in place, just unsnap it to remove. Read the warning below the pics.

I second the motion for a NY1 spring and a 3.5 connector.

Makes the reset short and crisp.  Trigger weight is about like stock.
