Who here has or plans to hunt with your Glock. I'm going to try to take a deer with my 41 this year. I think its realistic if in range and NC deer dont get very big.

Anyone do any hog, deer or varmint hunting and what caliber/ model are you using. (I know most that hunt use G20 10mm)

TexasRifleman took a doe this last year at 60 yds with a glock 9mm. I beleive he used a G17 and 147 gr hst.

If you put the round where it need to be it shouldn't be a problem.

True. With modern day defense ammo (especially like the HST)

I shot one at 25 yards with my 26 and one at 33 yards with my 19. I used Winchester 127 +p+ rangers. One shot to the head each.

I've got a G20, with Glock 6" hunting barrel, but sadly you can not hunt in CT with a semi, only revolvers.... luckily I've got a S&W 610 that meet the requirements.

I have shot deer with my Glock 20.  A friend of mine uses a S&W 4506 and it kills deer just fine.  Your Glock 41 is GTG.  Practice with it, so that you will know what the gun and your limitations are.

I know a few people who have taken deer, hogs, and even bears with Glocks (Glock 20).
Hunting with a Glock is definitely plausible if you can put a round where it needs to go.

Ive shot 3 white tails with my g20 with 180gr xtp handloads. Puts em down good.

I whacked a 170 pound feral hog last year with a G19 shooting 124gr Gold Dot +P.  Busted his shoulder and nicked his heart.  He still ran 20yds before falling over.  Bout 30 yds and more opportunity than stalking.

I always carry my g22 or 23 with me hunting.  Have only got to use them to put one down that had already been shot.  Would still like to get a g20 just for when I go hunting.

2 years ago shot this buck. Was only about 35 yds away if I remember right. G20 with lone wolf barrel Hornady xtp bullets

I have killed countless whitetail with my G21.  I use 230grain HST +P.  It stops them quick.  I also have used Hydrashocks and FMJ, and both work well.   I think you will be well equipped for hunting with a G41.

I took a doe with my 10mm.  She was facing me, dropped with on shot.  Nearly passed all the way through lengthwise, but I couldn't find the bullet.

I killed a doe I hit with 9mm ball once. First shot missed the brain. Second was effective.

Any caliber Glock can cleanly take any deer in the woods, perhaps minus the new 42 which I'm sure could work, but my point is any 9mm, 357, .40/10mm or .45 Glock will kill a deer with proper shot placement (vital shots too, not just head shots).

i have never hunted deer with one, but i hunt vermin with my glock21 all the time. a 230 grain slug will handle even the biggest raccoon damn quick.
