Any IDPA shooters or IDPA club match MDs out there? A group of IDPA clubs is trying get a postal macth going in the early spring. What's a postal match? Basicly every club involved runs the same courses of fire the same month. It can be your entire match or just a few stages of your bigger match. The results get sent in to a central data base. The COFs will be kept simple so they can be duplicated any where in the WORLD. Instead of competing against 20-50 local shooters you could compete against a few hundred (thousand?) shooters nation/world wide. Go to IDPA Forum .com under Match Chat/ Postal Match for more info.

So instead of getting smoked on my score by 20-30 guys, I get to get smoked by hundreds, if not thousands?  No thanks!

Sound like the USPSA classification system.

The IDPA classifier is basicly the same thing as this also, everyone shoots the same COF. This may weed out a few sandbaggers also.

Just poke a bunch of hole in a peice of paper with a pencil and send it in. Put them in the middle but don't make it look too  good. You'll win every time!

Chris, it seems that you've never shot IDPA. It is MUCH more than poking holes in paper. I live in a no carry state so I will never have to (or get to) use a gun out in the real world, but shooting an IDPA match makes you think, shoot fast but accurate, and get beyond being nervous or not ready to react. Any one that thinks that there good with a handgun because they can hit the bulls eye after taking all the time in the world is mistaken.
