Both of these have really changed the gun for the better. The original brass bead front sight had terrible definition for my eyes, and the thinner blade is much appreciated. |

I picked up one of the L9A1s at PSA's last sale and received it yesterday. They are absolutely one of the best of the clones. I think the SA-35 may be a hair better on the trigger, but Inglis blows the Girsan right out of the water. And for $350 vs the Springfield $700-ish, it's a phenomenal gun. I'm not even tempted to replace the grips, I'll leave the classic plastic ones on there as an homage to the original gun. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate. I am even more excited for the Inglis 2035 gun that's coming now. (Assuming the SDS/Tisas divorce doesn't screw it up...) |

SDS Arms Inglis Hi Powers are manufactured by Ozerbas in Turkiye. I bought the L9A1 from PSA on sale and it appears the L9A1 is more accurate than my Girsan MC P35. I took the magazine safety out of the Girsan but the trigger is not as good as the L9A1 even though the Girsan has been shot more. Here is a picture of my Girsan MC P35 top and my Inglis L9A1 bottom. Both are black Cerakote finish.  |

Third time is the charm. My first Turkish HP clone was a Girsan. First impression was o.k except for the goofy looking ski-slope front sight that I couldn't live with and had to modify. At the range, it functioned well but grouped like 9 pellet 00. It is now a boat anchor. Stepped up to a Springfield SA35. Nice fit and finish. Acceptable accuracy, about on a par with the average BHP. Had a serious extraction issue. Some claim this was a problem with low serial number guns. Mine was a high serial number. Replaced the extractor and spring with Cylinder and slide. Experimented with different weight recoil springs. Nothing helped. Its now a boat anchor. Picked up an L9A1 at a local show yesterday. Put 150 rnds through it today. Perfect function and excellent accuracy. Very nice fit and finish. I'd put it up against most of the BHP's I've owned. |
