I have been looking for a Stainless PT-1911 AR for about a year now, after I shot my buddies. First I really like the weight of the extra metal up front, it helps to balance the gun and reduce recoil. I also like the fact that I can install my light or laser for home defense. The gun was purchased for that specific purpose but I am sure it will see a bunch of range time as well. I do not want to special order a holster for a gun with a rail so it is not going to see time on my hip. I have seen a few if the stainless guns but none with the integral rail and none of the others was completely bead blasted, both slide and frame, which is what I also wanted. There are no polished or shiny surfaces on this gun. Had there been any, they would have been blasted as well. Of course the first thing I did was replace the grips. Here it is!!

Can't wait to get it to the range!!

I'm considering buying a barely used one just like that as soon as i leave this meeting - how much should these run?

N/M, got it regardless...

It was "used," but you can hardly tell it.

I traded my other PT-1911 in on it and paid a difference of $100. If I remember the sticker showed $675 NIB. I am a happy guy!!

I have a blued and a stainless PT1911, both are good guns, and you can't beat the price for what you get already done to the pistol. I'm "watching" a couple with the rail on GB , AA now. After that I'd like to add the Duo-Tone and an Aluminum versions to the safe. I have Kimbers and Springfield Armory 1911's to compare, more than happy with the Taurus'.

I hope it works out well for you. I'm more excited that I only own a couple Taurus' than by the prospect of owning another one.

I have the alloy frame with rail and black slide. I love it. It has been perfect so far with 400+ rounds and no issues. I have ran semi-wad cutters, hp, and steel case ammo all ran great no issues. I do like that all stainless look tho. My alloy frame is awesome tho I like the lighter frame so much.
