I have a Timberwolf build.

It's a stock Trigger and bar, LWD connector and lightweight firing pin.

It's so mushy and in my mind slow. I just polished everything nice and shiny in a 25 cent trigger job style and now it's just less gritty but still mushy. I have 2k-3k rounds through it and I think it's actually gotten worse than when I assembled it.

I was considering a kineti-tech trigger but other than improving trigger feel and looks I don't think it'll make much of a difference in trigger pull.

I know it'll never have a 1911 trigger but how do I get it closer or better than my VP9?

I wish Geissele made a Glock trigger

Remove the lower weight firing pin spring, replace the reset with a heavy one, and a lighter striker block spring.  It is mushy because of the connector and striker spring.

A friend of mine installed a Taran Tactical 3.5 disconector (stock springs) into a stock G19 and the trigger was very light, very clean break with no mush. IMHO if you want a 1911 type clean breaking trigger this is your best option.

If you want a 1911 grade trigger get a 1911 if you want it to feel like a vp9 get that. Glocks. Are what they are  accept them as is or use another platform.

I didn't want to make this a Glock vs. XXXXXX. I realize it can't have a 1911 trigger.

I can still want a better trigger and ask if I'm doing something wrong and how to improve it.

Try changing the firing pin block spring and even perhaps getting a rounded Firing pin block.

What were you trying to accomplish by changing the striker spring?  IMO Unless you use a lighter striker with the spring it makes the trigger feel meh.  Also changing just a connector to a lighten the trigger will make the trigger mushy that is the purpose of a heavier trigger reset spring.

I wan't trying to accomplish anything. These are the bag of parts that came with sets when I built up my Timberwolf frame. I shoot the gun fine but I think it could be better.

FYI I have a lightened firing pin, but as far as I'm aware the striker spring is not lighter.

I misread your original post my fault...  you can get a better trigger to begin with when changing the connector to something lighter weight you have to change the reset spring.  The reason for this to gives the trigger a feel of lighterweight but as the striker breaks you feel a mush then a clunk instead of a crisp break.  The more weight you drop with a connector the worse it gets.  I also change the striker block spring as well it lightens the take up just slightly so the pull stroke on the trigger is smooth beginning to end.  All combined you could expect around 3.8-4.2# trigger you might be on the low end of the spectrum with the lighter striker but it also depends on wear of the parts together.

I just dropped one of these in my G19.

https://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?groupid=3252&name=Royal+Arms

I also have a increased power trigger/reset spring, reduced power safety plunger spring, and ghost connector (3.5 lb).  The trigger is GREAT now -- almost zero takeup, short and crisp reset, and the pull angle of the trigger face is almost straight back.

I've tried Drop-testing it from about 5 feet at various angles, and have banged it around like crazy trying to cause an AD, and it has been g2g
