Changed over from .40 to 9mm...went to the Gun Show today and sold my G23 and G27...came home with a new G19 and G26!

Good switch. I never liked the recoil from .40. I carry and shoot .45s and think there is less felt recoil from the .45 than the .40. I'm sure you will find the 9mm more enjoyable to shoot and the ammo is cheaper.

I'm not a .40 guy, but I keep a G23 (my only .40 pistol) for ammo panics. There's always more .40 during ammo panics.

In a pinch, it's the same size as my G19, so I could carry it easily if need be.

I don't like .40, but historically it's been a solution to a problem...when you can't find 9mm or 45acp on the shelves.

I thought about that but I have heard some mixed reports about the reliability of them with the conversion barrels. Plus, I know me and I would not be

able to stand shooting 9mm out of a gun that says .40 on the slide.

I made the same switch around 2006, no regrets whatsoever.

With 9mm and 45acp in my armory I have no use for the .40

I have done the same thing and shoot the 9mm way better then the .40.
