Guys and gals I have a Colt Argentina model 1927 that I can not seem to get a true value on. This is the DGFN FMAP. Serial # is 25xxx stainless with a ported barrel. I attached a link to look at and any help would be greatly appreciated.

These were built before the common use of stainless steel in firearms. That looks like a chrome plated finish. The sights, trigger, bushing, and grips (at least) are not original to the gun.
Unaltered examples in good condition usually go for around $500. From the photos, I would have a hard time paying that much for that gun, unless I could go through it to make sure it didn't have any amateur modifications such as a feed ramp polish, unsafe trigger job, etc. Depending on the quality of the finish (prep work and whether it was done by a reputable shop), it could add up to $100-150 to the value. |
