Picked up a nice older delta a while back, $800 plus tax:

First order of business, a nice set of cocobolo double diamonds.

Hmmn, better, but still not quite right.  I know, lets replace that plastic arched MSH with a FLAT one.

Much better.

Now I just need to screw up the courage to install the spare set of Delta Elite medallions into the new grips.

One of the first, and best, things to do to a stock Delta is to install a flat bottom firing pin stop, and a 23lb( or heavier) mainspring. This goes a long way towards slowing the excessive slide velocity that a Delta firing full power loads experiences. Enjoy!
