I recently bought an Inox. Very lightly used and got a great deal on it. I plan on replacing the factory wood grips with a Hogue. Not sure if I am going with the Mono grip or the set of panels yet since I don't wanna ding up the nice wood grips that came with it. The grips and sights are the only thing I plan on changing on this pistol immediately. I am not used to red sights on a pistol. I mean, to me they just don't stand out like a set of sights should. I was wondering what my options are. I would like to go with maybe a green or orange set of night-sights but since obviously the front sight is monolithic onto the slide I guess that's impossible. Seems like my only option is to fill that little impression on the front tower with paint. Is this what they did at the factory? There's alot I need to learn about this gun. I haven't even shot it yet but I plan on shooting it soon and I see myself tinkering with it but first thing I wanna do is get the sight issue addressed. Thanks, jason. |

Quoted: Do some Googling- There's a place (down the street from Trijicon, I think) that can drill the fromt sight & install a tritium vial. Then go with the Trijicon rear sight. Tooltech Gunsight. Is that the place? I wouldn't be against going to the extent of modifying the frame if I had to. Anyone have any experieince with painting the front sight dot> How does that work out? |

Tooltech is the place. Word is that Trijicon sends work to them. I have a Beretta that has the front sight drilled & tritium insert installed by them & it looks great. I wouldn't hesitate to have this done.
Here's a thread that discusses installation of another option - front sight overlay - http://www.berettaforum.net/vb/showthread.php?t=63168&highlight=machine+front+sight Do some searches over at berettaforum.com - there's lots of discussion about front sights. I think anything that's ever been done is talked about. |
