I am looking at a used 3rd Gen G19 locally.

Owner says it was bought in 03' and has about 3K rounds down the pipe. He's asking $450 for the gun with 2 mags.

Is this a fair asking price?

I'm not sure what pricing is like in your area, but I'd say no.

Don't get me wrong, 3,000 rounds is nothing on a 19. But, I see used, current-year manufacture 19s with much less than 3,000 rounds through them sell in gun shops for $430 around here. I would think you should be able to get the one in question for $400, $425 tops.

I agree.  Too high.  Should be able to find one for $400 or so.

Thanks guys!

Looking at new G19 prices it seemed a little high but wasn't quite sure of the typical resale value is on Glocks, especially an earlier model 3rd Gen.

I pretty much agree with others

G19 with regular sights and two mags in a gunstore should be more or less minty to get $450.and fairly current year wise.

Night sights would bump the price on a newer gun but that old and they are getting pretty tired.

As others have said 3K rounds are nothing on a G19 but an older gun like that in my area would be $400ish in a store and more like $360-375 at a private sale

Yesterday I bought a NIB, 3rd gen Glock 19 with 3 mags and Trijicon sights for $520.

I'd say the one you are looking at is a little high.

Recommend that you look into the GSSF program, New Glocks thru the program are less then $450 new.

Smokey,  are you fire or vol fire by any chance?  Just wondering since your avatar is fire related.

If you are you can buy with the Homeland Security Discount with your credentials. (Mil, Ret Mil, LEO, Fire, EMS, 911 all qualify)  NIB Glock 19 with 3 mags for $398.20.  Just find an LEO dealer in your area.  All you need is your FD ID for the discount.  I am FD and have bought all 9 of my Glocks through that program over the last 5 years.

If you don't have a dealer near you, you can buy directly from Glock and have the firearm shipped to a local dealer.  Cost a little more but saves a lot in the end.

I just paid 494 for a NEW one. So 450 would be a big no for me.

A new one is only $425 w/GSSF discount.

$450 is too much for NIB.
