Do they make them for the XD's and if so does anyone have one and do they work good... |
I have had a Lasermax on my G36 for over 2 years. 1000+ rounds fired. No issues whatsoever. The Lasermax REPLACES the original guide rod and spring...it is a metal housing. Even after many consecutive rounds fired, heat has NEVER been an issue Good solid product in my opinion. Jon |

Here's the quote from the XD boards: "OK here is the update I forgot to tell you that iinstalled a lasermax in the gun the plastic cap of the laser melted just enough to lock the slide on whith two hard hits from the palm of my hand the slide just fell off gun now operates fine and the laser also very minimal damage, i hope to post some pics of the lasermax for you soon thank you xd_dan and the others for your help" here's the link this was the only negative thing that I've come across. He didn't post any pics, so he might be full of it. And I wonder what his firing rate was. If cost wasn't an issue I'd buy one to try it out. |
Wow, that's not good. I'd like to see the pics too. Maybe the XD model is setup a little diferently than the Glock 36 model?? Like I said, I've never had a problem with mine...actually, the only problem I've ever had with it is that it doesn't like to turn on\off if I overlube the gun. (CLP gets on the contacts). Learned that lesson real fast. I bought the laser mostly to assist with figuring out why I was having a problem with accuracy\consistency with the gun., but it's nice to have what basically is a CQB site on the gun too. This is currently my primary CCW. JOn |
