I've seen the new internal extractor Series II pistols out there.  I've seen a post or 2 floating around out there about Kimber reworking Series II pistols with external extractors to internal.  Anyone had this done?  Cost?  Thoughts?

I have a TLE/RLII external, and I have some ejection issues.  Spent case sometimes gets hung up in the action, most times on the last shot from a 47D.

Thanks.

Contact Kimber and tell them, they'll most likely replace the slide.

Man, that's great news!  I'll do exactly that Monday!

Thanks!

Yes, I heard from a little birdy also that if you call KIimber and let them know you are experiencing "extraction problems", you get a new slide.

Kimber changed the slide to a internal extractor on my Pro Tactical along with new night sights and it has run flawlessly ever since. What else is there to be said?

Dude at work has an Eclipse that came with the EE and would not run.  About three months ago I told him Kimber was replacing problem EE slides with IE slides.  He sent it in and got it back as promised and has had no failures since.  It's a shame they tried to shove the EE down our throats but shows good customer service to do what they are doing.

I have two Kimber with EE and have never had a problem with either.
Many thousands of rounds thru each, still not one problem.

My Custom TLE runs GREAT with an EE. I just keep shooting it and shooting it. Kimber is a great company and I know if it ever breaks they'll make it right.

My EE Custom II runs great.  I know they would replace the slide if needed, but I spent all that money to NP3 the whole top end and internals.  What a waste it would be if they just put a non-Robar'd slide on!
That Robar NP3 is slicker than snot.
