Glock 23 mag. It seems like I should be seeing more spring when the mag is disassembled. Viewed from the top, it's actually one full coil. Is this the normal or is it time for a new magazine spring?

Is this a Glock branded replacement or something else? It should stick out further. It's a Glock factory spring that I've had for a while. The magazine worked just fine a week or two ago. Haven't had any problems with it. Just noticed it now. Anyone have a G23 magazine handy to see how much the spring sticks out? |
| I recently replaced mag springs in 4 G23 magazines. There was very little difference in the overall length between the old springs (about 3,000 rounds on each individual spring/mag) and the brand new springs. I remember the new ones only sticking out approximately as far as what you have shown in your pic. If all is feeding and locking back fine, especially the last couple rounds, you should be fine. |

It sounds like this is pretty normal but a good reminder for me to just go ahead and switch mag springs for all my mags when I can afford to. |

I've got a Wolff recoil spring in my 1911 and Witness and a couple Wolff 1911 mags but I was planning on using Glockmeister for the mag springs. Think I should get extra power springs? |
