So I was disassembling my g21 and noticed if I pull the slide foward about a inch, the slide will completely come off by rocking it to the right. It's right after the rear of the slide clears the rear guide rails. Never noticed this with any other glocks that I've owned. Is it normal?

Yes, it's normal on the full sized large frames. The slide stop cutout allows the front left frame rail to exit the slide at a point. I  don't know if it  applies to any other frame sizes.

You will have to work a bit harder to brake that bad boy...
