The holsters fit, every grip has fit thusfar, 'cept the ~$300 one of course. How many holsters worth of "[EXPLETIVE LADEN RANT REDACTED]" is that? ![]() Back on holsters: I'm currently I'm a fan of Tulster, and ANR Design Attached File G-Code clips will fit on those ^ if anyone wants to drop the holster down further. |

I too was interested in 32H&R magnum until I saw the cost of ammo. $0.90 per round for range fodder was the cheapest I could find on ammo seek. I'm stoked about the reworked trigger and actual sights. Not sure I will like the short grip but we'll see. |

Hard to beat good sights and a good trigger In my mind, the best concealment grip for the J-frames is the CrimsonTrace LG405 Small Thin Light Covered backstrap Laser (great dry-fire training aid, good in low light) And despite being so small, you can get a surprisingly good grip on it! |

I'm pretty sure a few of the top brands make a defensive load for it. A snub chambered in .32 H&R is not much of a question in the age of .327, except to ask S&W "Why won't you let us have the good stuff?" For me this was a major factor in deciding to purchase a .327 LCR over a J frame. |

I ended up choosing a Kimber K6XS to standardize on .38special, but the LCR looks cool I wish they made a 3in 327LCRx like they do for the 357, 38, and .22s! |

For me this was a major factor in deciding to purchase a .327 LCR over a J frame. I wouldnt rule it out if this sells well. I know Bryan Eastridge and talked to him about this. Flame cutting, and materials of the frame etc while trying to keep the cost down. Steel or Scandium would be necessary due to the pressures involved and put it at the 340/340PD price point. By using .32, it kept it at the 442/642 prices. |

I carry a Model 637 in mine, I've found it to be very slim and lightweight for pocket rocket carry. Yes, a loaded air-weight or even lighter air-light. Will weigh a bit less than a P365/Hellcat/G43, this is an important factor to me. I sold my 2 Ruger LCPs (original and a II) because they were simply not reliable, highly ammo-sensitive, and difficult to actually hold onto, coupled with the cost/availability and 'power' of .380ACP I just ditched that round and stick with 9mm or .38SPL+P when it comes to slim/compact, non-permissive-environment, carry guns. I carry Buffalo Bore .38+P 125gr, they hit my steel targets with authority. Not much different in terms of impact on target when compared to my Glock 17 shooting 124gr 9mm Hornady +P... According to their website videos and photos, I believe that Aholster requires that using their products for the Smith and Wesson 340PD you first need to cover the gun with Blue Painters Masking Tape in order for it to function properly. I'm not sure it this applies for other firearm models. |

Two, I had trouble finding 357 ammo that was regulated to POA=POI. Though 38 Special 130gr HST and 135gr short barrel Gold Dots were good so they might be fine for a 642/442. |

When I carry a J frame, it is a 642 with 135 grain +P. I carry it in a pocket holster. It is practically the same gun, load, and carry method as the OIS used in the above video. I train with it. I have an idea of what I can and can't do with it. A J Frame is as large as I would go in a pocket gun. 38 Spec is the largest caliber I would use. 357 in a snub is more than I want to handle. I have tried pocket carrying micro 9s. Even though my Gen 1 Shield is effectively the same size, a J Frame carries and draws better from the pocket. That OIS video has me thinking about some things. As a "Get off me gun", the 642 did exactly what it was intended to do. I assume the suspect was drugged up. Suspect took 3 rounds at close range. From the footage, at least two hits were in lung cavities. The suspect was still able flee 25+ yards after being shot. When he went down, it was because he tripped up. He still had fight in him when the cuffs went on. What if the suspect hadn't fled? Would a different gun or caliber have made a difference? Probably not. Mindset is why the officer won the fight. The 642 only increased his odds. |

Most leather J-frame holsters I find are just way bigger and bulkier than they really need to be and kinda defeat the point of a small concealable snub. Perfectly fine with the muzzle being exposed like in the photo. Infact I'd prefer it. Seems to be the current fad to add a bunch of extra material at the worst part of an IWB holster in some religious obsession to cover the muzzle to the point that you may as well have an extra inch of barrel. If I could have that exact holster with a more neutral cant and IWB clips instead of the belt loops, it'd be perfect. Yeah, Kydex is the answer. But a classy revolver like mine just yearns for the leather. Exposed bottom holsters like this are a bad idea in my experience The “Yaqui Slide” style holsters use to be very popular back when I carried a 1911 in the mid 90s The disadvantage is that if you get in a struggle or even have to do something athletic like climb a fence the gun can be pushed up from the bottom. Even worse with a longer barrel because the bulk of the gun will come out and your gun will likely hit the deck. A holster that continues down to the end of your muzzle will prevent this from happening. Just my 2 cents. |

I suspect it won't be nearly as big of a problem as it's made out to be. And if it is, it'll atleast have plenty of company in the Box of Forgotten holsters. |

I started carrying a 642 J frame as a weak hand (righthand) cross draw BUG about 6+ months ago. I can give it to my wife to use as needed and it's accessible while driving (I hip carry a primary). I've got mine loaded with Federal's new Hydra-Shok Deep, although I haven't searched out any ballistic video's on it yet. I just picked-up the new 432UC and will probably start carrying that with Hornady Critical Defense or a WC. I like the idea of an extra round. |

Not saying the barrel needs to be poking way out. Just make the holster exactly as long as the barrel and that's it. Maybe like an 1/8" peeking out. Point being there's no sense in having the holster add a whole nearly extra inch to a gun that's supposed to be easy to conceal. |
