hey guys,
i just picked up a used 2.5'' judge, seems like new, i loaded it with federal 410 2.5'' judge loads today and a few were hard to get all the way into the cylinder, about 1/2 way up the brass collar, some went in easy, some had to be pushed hard, then when i went to eject them it was impossible to push the rod back, i had to hammer it with a hard rubber coated lock, all loads were never fired as i got nervous when i noticed the tight fit, whats the problem here?

Took my new 3in blue judge to the range today.  Not allowed to shoot .410's out of it so shot about 60 .45LCs.  After about 30 RDs or so a fired case got stuck underneath the extractor rod.  Also the front fiber sight fell out.  WTF!  Revolver is 6 days old.  I sent a letter out to Taurus today.  I'll report what happens..........

Taurus CS called in about a week and after our conversation they are sending out a new sight and we agreed to fire the revolver again to see if I could duplicate the shell under the extractor rod again.  I had since fired 3 different types of .410's and they all went off without incident!

I have a 3" SS Judge and have had zero problems shooting many ammo types through the gun. I have read on some other boards that some 410 shells get stuck in the cylinder.
Winchester #6, #4, 000 buck & 45 long colts shoot fine through my Judge. I really enjoy this gun.

I have shot several different types of .410 in my judge I have found that cheap .410 shells don't work well, because of the thin hulls. But all the quality ammo I have shot, Remington, Winchester, Federal, I have have not had a single problem. I have shot #9, #7 1/2, #6, #4, 000 buck, slugs, and have not had any problems. I bought some cheap .410 shells, can't remember the brand, but they go stuck and were a pain to get out. As far as 45LC I have not had any problems, but it has been hard to come by lately.

I have two of the Judge Public Defenders (.410/.45 LC) and they have also worked excellent. I would agree with ya and stick to good new ammo from these hand-shotguns....love em though!

There are some Russian 410 shells  floating around.

I shot my 3 in mag SS Judge two days ago for the first time. The handgun fired 45 LC and 410 with no problem. In fact the 45 LCs were the tightest group I have shot out of a handgun in a long time.
