What is the most accurate 9mm hand gun on the planet?

OK, I'll play. I am going to say a Colt Gov't model. The old broomhandle Mauser would be an accurate design, but its poor trigger keeps me from doing well with one.
On second thought, the Thompson-Center Contender is probaby the most accurate 9mm, but for some reason I don't believe you were talking about single shots. |

I should qualify this by saying I am thinking of an auto. Any particular Gov't recreation in mind like Kimber or Wilson Combat? Thanks. I'm looking forward to hearing more. |

I own a SIG P210. When I first got it, I took it to an indoor range and fired it from a rest. All the rounds went into one ragged hole. Another superbly accurate 9mm pistol is the Finnish Lahti L-35. It has a trigger that is so smooth and crisp that it is almost unbelievable. It feels like the trigger on a high-end .22 target gun. Here's a pair of pictures for you. And here's the Finnish Lahti posing with the Swedish Lahti. The Finnish L-35 is the pistol with the brown grips. The Swedish variant is nowhere near as well made as her Finnish cousin.

I just read the history of the Sig 210 and I can see why you guys have put this on the list. Seems like they took Moses's 1911 design to the max.

There were only 9300 Finnish Lahti pistols ever made. They were essentially hand-made and the trigger pull on mine must be 2 pounds or less. The trigger is so crisp it boggles the mind. I cannot understand how a military issue sidearm can have a trigger this good. |
