I've got a couple ARs, an MC Operator, and a P226 9mm. Last night I finally pulled the trigger on a black FNX-45T from High Plains Gun Shop. I've been wanting one for awhile, but just couldn't quite stomach the price. HPGS put them on sale a few weeks ago and they still have them in stock, so I finally broke down and ordered it.

They still have them in stock for $999 (check/mo) or $1025 (cc) w/ free shipping if anyone else wants one.

Will post pics when I get it.

Unless nobody wants to see it, in which case

Congrats, wife got me one as a bday gift this year.

I've been shooting the shit out of mine, by far my favorite .45 caliber pistol to date.

I ordered a FDE Tactical from Trading Places last week, picked it up last Friday.  Everyone knows FDE is more accurate.

After the availability issues with the FNP Tactical, and the improved FNX coming out shortly before the panic, hitting the $1000 range now seemed too good to pass up.  Had to have one!  I'm not typically a .45 guy either, but something about the features of the FNX Tactical spoke to me.  I like the safety, I like the red dot mount, I like the factory threaded barrel, I like the capacity, it's seemingly the perfect .45.  Now I just need to go shoot it and hope that feeling continues.  It'll fit in well my other FNs in 9, 40, and 5.7 at least!  (Pair of FN-marked HPs and a FsN, obviously)

Planning on starting the paperwork on an Octane 45 HD in the next month or two.  Wish I would have purchased one last year instead of the 762-SDN-6 I ordered.  I'm done with 300 BLK before I even got started, but I'm a few weeks out on approval for the AAC can so I'm stuck with it.  Guess no one ever said "I have too many suppressors" though!

I think the FDEs are nice. But when the colors don't match exactly on something of mine I feel like it's some ghetto, patchwork car and it bugs me.

I also love my MC operator, but the capacity of the FNX WITH a grip that is normal-size, is great. I've tried double-stack 1911's and the grips are just too big for me. This is my first FN, but I've heard nothing but great reviews about the pistol (and I've fondled a few in stores) so I'm not worried about it functioning. The controls are also nearly identical to my Sig.

Suppressors are out of my scope for right now. I need money for other things, and I'd like to get a trust first. We have a trust, but it's not set up for firearms. In a year or two I'll call the lawyer and see if we should get another one or modify this one for firearms. Then I'll save for an Osprey and a 5.56 suppressor (surefire maybe), and I'll sell an AR in the next panic and buy an SBR. Or sell a few guns and get an SR-25
