I have a Khar PM9 that carry in a pocket. The magazine button gets pushed a lot dumping the mag in may pocket. Ever had this problem with a Khar?

I carry a PM9 every day as a BUG and I've never had the problem. Does it seem like the button sticks out too far or is it too easy to push like there isn't enough spring tension? What kind of holster are you using?

Never happened to me.  The top round does like to fall out of the spare mag though.

+1 I use the Nemesis holster.  Never had the mag eject accidentally.  I also use a EZ-Rider II, and the top round does like to work out of the spare mag.

I've had the same problem as you're describing. I carry my PM9 in a Desantis nemesis pocket holster and had the mag come out on numerous occasions. Sometimes my mag would actually disengage while firing. I spoke with Kahr about the problem and they sent me a new mag release and spring. The new mag release and spring helped tremendously, but I did have one or two occasions in the last 2 years where my mag disengaged without my knowledge.

I really wish that Kahr would offer a beefed up spring. I actually recommended the idea to them, but they didn't seem too interested.

A good holster will solve your problem.

Unfortunately, I had the same problem when firing my Kahr.  During recoil I would occasionally hit the release with my left thumb, releasing the mag.

I considered putting in a stronger spring until I took mine apart and saw what was involved.

The release spring is a simple straight piece of spring wire.  Replacing it with a thicker spring would do what I wanted – only that would require drilling out a small and very hard to get hole in frame that the spring sits in.

So I just took my Dremel and ground the magazine button about halfway down.  Mag removal is a bit harder to do, but I haven’t had a seated mag get loose since then.

I own both the WaltherPPK/s and the Kahr PM9.  Both are great guns.  A design feature that I really like in the Walther is the location of the magazine release.

You can't accidentally hit it with your thumb while firing.

How old is your PM9?
There actually was a button/spring "upgrade" on early ones.
They sent it to me and I installed it myself.
Mine never popped out in a pocket, but it was just a tad on the light side.
The replacement was nice and stiff.

If yours is not that old, see if they will send you a new one anyway.
Could be that you just got a spring that's a lemon.

Since the button is polymer, you could always trim it down so that it's almost flush, and see if that solves the problem.
