I know the GP Ten II was discontinued, but I found a used one
in a gun store for a good price. The GP ten fits my hand better than
any other 1911 I have ever pick up, plus more ammo is nice also.
So I was wounding why it was discontinued. Is it because most 1911
fans hate plastic frames or is it just a piece of crap? Anyone know?

Thanks

I've wondered this as well.  I haven't heard of any problems with the guns, I'm betting it's just a case of lack of demand, lack of sales.

They are nice though.

I'd say depending on the price, get it.  But first, I'd wanna know if, where, and how much I could find extra mags for.  That'd be my only concern.........lack of availability of mags for it.

From Kimber's web site mags are 40 bucks and yes their in stock.
The gun store wants 500 hundred for it, not the cheapest price
for a used pistol but not bad for a Kimber I think.

great gun and the mags are basic para p14 mags I use mecgar ones. I like the grip on the kimber it's smaller feeling then the para. It is similar to the BUL M5 made in Israel very popular in Europe

I have a pro ten and it has been a great gun.Wish the mag's were less.I have put about 3000 rounds thru mine and I just changed the recoil spring so I will not have any problems.

Hell, I'd say go for it.  Good price for a good gun.
