| Hello, right now i'm in the final stages of purchasing my first 1911. I'm definetly set on Kimber, but I don't know what model. I've held the Kimber Custom II and was wondering is the TLE II was worth the extra money. |

It adds the checkered grip and the night sites as standard. If you like the textured grip I say go gor it. I have 1911's that are checkered and ones that are not. If I were to do it over again and get a gun with a textured front gri I would get one with a serated front strap instead of checkered, but that is just me. I have no problem with a smooth front strap either. |
