I've saved my pennies and I am ready to purchase a high end combat 1911. I've narrowed down to 2 choices: Kimber Warrior or the Springfield Loaded Operator. Both seem to be equally optioned. Any experiences out there to steer me one way or the other? The Kimber is $100 more. Is it worth the extra Benjamin? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

I got the Warrior, only because I got it cheaper than I could find the springfield  Operator.

I have a warrior and absolutely love everything about it.  Its done even better than I thought digesting holopoints straight out of the box.  I held both of these pistols when I was making the same decision as you, and I felt the warrior overall was a better fit, finish, feel, all that stuff.  The MIM parts crisis hasn't hit me yet, everthing has functioned fine, the KIMPRO finish has stayed very nice and glossy, even through a couple of classes with 500 rounds and hundred of presentations from a Kydex holster.  I also have a Springy GI and love it too.  Just get which one you want and like, you'll be happy with either.  I got my Warrior through Impact Guns at 100$ cheaper than any dealer in my area, so you might want to check them out if your by one of those stores.  Good luck.

I prefer my Loaded Operator over SGB's Warrior, but really it came down to looks to me. I like the full-length rail better. Silly, maybe, but I like it.

If you can find a Loaded Operator without paying too much, buy it. Seems like they are disappearing. They sure as hell aren't being made any more.

+1 to this.  I really love my Warrior... more and more with every range trip.
