| This weekend is no tax on huntin' stuff in Louisiana weekend. Been thinking about the LCP and my gunshop has one for $380. Good price? |

Sucks when I go to gun shows in PA or VA and see them all day long on sale for $260-300. I saw the special hard chrome models for $319, but my local FFL wants $400. |

A guy on another forum is selling one locally, LNIB, for $250 face-to-face. I'm fighting the urge to buy it. Don't. Don't fight the urge.....or don't buy it?
I've been trying forever to get my girl into shooting, but it's just not something she's really interested in (other than going to the range with me, just to make me happy). I even said I'd buy any gun she wanted, but she declined. But, she saw me looking at the guy's LCP ad.....and said "OMG, it's soooo cuuuuute!". If it takes a gun being "cuuuuute" in order to get her shooting, I'm all about it. Now I just need the funds for it. |

Your going to get her out there she will be all excited about how cute it is then bang. First round goes off and she will be handing you the gun. These little pistols are a handful, snappy, and not a "first" gun for most. Buy a .22lr for here to learn pistol shooting with, or a fullsize 9mm or something. You however will love how light, and small the LCP is to carry. $250 FTF for an LCP is good. You can find Kel-tec p3at's for $220 + S&H/FFL though... |

(Admittedly, I haven't done a whole lot of research on this pistol, and haven't shot anything that small, the closest being a Glock 27, so I probably would have just bought it and not even thought about it if I had the funds) She does like our friend's P22. Maybe that's the ticket for her. (Hell, our friend's P22 is even pink digi-cam! |

Elsie Peas are great carry guns when a larger pistol is impractical, but they are definitely not a plinker or range gun. After purchasing, I function tested mine, ran 50 rounds through it, cleaned it, loaded 2 mags with Speer GD HPs, and it now sits in the safe waiting for those rare occasions when I need to carry a small lightweight gun. My G23 does the majority of the concealed carry role, but when needed, the Elsie Pea is great to have. $269.00 |
