I'm looking into getting my first pistol, and had narrowed it down to a USPc 45 or glock 30, but recently came across a very nice price on a H&K compact LEM in 45 ACP.  Is it similar to the variant 7 USP, with a refined trigger?  Or is there other differences?

These seem to be popping up cheap on Gunbroker right now (around 600$) for reasons I can't explain myself.  I'd be curious to hear what anyone has to say also, although I've generally read here and elsewhere that the LEM trigger is a very aquired taste (read: not very good).

(p.s. I'm a lurker turned poster.  This is my first post, so hello!)

CDNN Investments has been selliing 40 and 45 USPc for about 600 bucks NIC, well below the regular USPc NIC.  HK Pro is a great place to get feed back on the Law Enforcement Modification (AKA LEM) trigger.  If possible go shoot the gun before you are buy it?  The HK is a solid gun, and LEM is just one of the many fire control options.

I have a P2000 LEM.  It takes practice to get used to but once you do it is a very nice trigger.  Mine has the 2 lighter springs in it so it has a 5.25lb trigger pull.  Of all the none 1911 triggers this is my favorite.

I have to agree.  Its a little odd at first, which almost made me regret getting it.  But once I've used it enough, its a great trigger.
