Got one of those 1895 Nagant's that is leaded from the forcing cone to the muzzle.

So far I have polished it to a dull gray luster, but it seems to defy complete removal.

Suggestions???

Since I don't think the Lewis Lead Remover cones in that caliber, I'd recommend some COPPER Chore Boy wrapped around a bore brush.
This is that copper steel wool-like pot cleaner material sold in the grocery store.

You can help things along by soaking the bore in Kroil for a day or two first.

To finish up, get some JB Bore Paste from Brownell's.  This will remove the last of it.
