First post, so please be nice.  My wife & I went shooting last weekend, and I have a Glock 17.  I shot 100+ rounds without problem, but when it was her turn, it regularly jammed every 2-3 times.  The gun would fire, but the brass wouldn't fully eject.  I suspect she is limp wristing –– and thoughts on how to help her technique?   She does shoot left handed as well.

from the magpul dynamic handgun dvd

when you set your gun to fire, really drive that sucker forward.  Push your arms out just until your elbows start to hurt a little bit, then draw back.  Path of least resistance and all

I have a brand new Glock 19 that my wife was limp wristing also.  Took me awhile to figure it out though.  It would fail to feed every once in a while only when she shot it.

for right handers,  you lock the right elbow "pushing forward", left hand is pulling back with slight pressure against the right "fingers" so to speak. this will eliminate the "limp wrist" and give you a steady platform.  the pushing the dominate and pulling back with weak hand is lite pressure, more for stability, so don't over think it or push/pull like crazy.

reverse for lefty's

Yup sounds like limp wristing.

One thing that will prevent that from occuring, is the "push pull" hold.

Drive your right hand (holding the gun), forward, with your left hand pulling back.

That will stop any issue of limp wristing.

Sounds like a great opportunity for you all to take a pistol class together. Bonding time and all...

Great advise, everyone.  Big thanks.  We'll give it a try next weekend at the range.

There is a Women's Handgun class at Creekside Firing Range near Cartersville on March 20.  I would suggest you check it out.  Creekside classes are very reasonable for the price and a great value.
