I'm about to ship my Bisley off to either John or Dustin Linebaugh for conversion to heavy .45.
I have no question about the quality of either, but I'd love to hear from anyone who owns one.
Also, any (non-rumor mill) idea of current delivery times?

Are you sending it off for the 5 shot 45lc conversion???  If you are a plan to shoot heavy 45 LC, use starline 454 brass.  Just trim it.

Thinking about going with the six shot...although I do have a ton of .454 brass left.  Other than length, how does the brass differ from .45 Colt?

The 454 Casull brass uses small rifle primers and I am curious as to why you would trim 454 brass to 45 Colt length ?

I had John build a 5-1/2" .454 Bisley for me years ago.  Absolutely the nicest firearm I have ever owned.  It is all that you need and nothing more for up close and personal big critter hunting.
