| Anyone heard anything on this brand? I haven't really heard much about it other than it's supposably from Spain... A dealer I went to had a 1911 type Llama for sale for $300 (with lifetime warrenty from Llama) and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything on this brand. Any feedback appreciated. |

Llama has been around a long time, I think Stoeger imported them years ago. I had a few in .380 and .22 calibers, again years ago, and there is nothing they can do to convince me to buy another one. For a mere $100 more, more or less, you can get an entry level Springfield and probably be much happier. At best, non standard parts are (or were) used, even the grips differ, meaning many of the good aftermarket parts for a normal spec 1911 won't fit. My opinion...pass it on by. |
Spanish for name acutally . But thanks for all of the info guys. Saved me money. |

I bought a Llama .45 in 1990. It would not cycle though a whole mag without stovepiping. To me any handgun that doesn't work 100% perfectly new out of the box, once cleaned and lubed and fired for the first time, is completely useless. If I want to tinker for a hobby I'll buy a 57 chevy project car. I would pass if I were you. |
