I was wondering where Llama Max 1911's are made and how good of a gun they are. I know they probly can't compare to a Springfield, Kimber, Auto Ordinance, Para Ordinance and all the other good makers. But I was just wondering if they are any good since they are pretty cheap?handel

Oh, sorry. Had to wipe the tears from laughing.

Llamas are crap.  They serve better as one way boomerangs.

Llamas are not 1911s, they are 1911 type pistols and while you'll most likely find a defender or two for them the majority opinion will point out that they are JUNK ! IMHO of course.

Thats what I thought. Just making sure. I will save my money and get myself a Springfield or Auto Ordinance 1911 instead. Or of course a Colt. I take it that any 1911 or 1911 style under 500 that is brand new is junk then.

Whoa horse............ you can pick up a Springfield GI for around $430 and while not having any frills is a solid 1911 and good base for a custom build.

Stay away from auto ordnance as well.
