Here is an German SVW45 Dual tone made in early March 1945.
Below is another SVW45, this one a French production post war P.38 and was probalbly made in June or July 1945. This one used all German produced parts left over in the Mauser Factory at the time when it was captured in mid April 1945 and also before the use of the stamped metal grips. This gun also had no import marks.

Not much to signal other than, moved (finally) from Italy back to the US. Sold all my stuff in Italy and repurchasing here. Bought this Luger in .30 Luger (I thought it was in 9mm frankly, but it turned out to be in .30 Luger). Other than .30 Luger being more expensive (and rarer) nothing to complain. Apparently, .30 Luger Lugers may even be more fun to shoot?  |
The top one is a 1916 DWM, numbers matching, and has the micrometer adjustable sights. The magazine doesn't match. I don't have the stock. 
The middle is a 41/42 Mauser, would be matching but the sideplate doesn't. The bluing has a beautiful plum-like hue. The magazine doesn't match. The bottom is a mismatched refinished shooter that started life (I'm almost positive) as a Bulgarian 1906 or 1908. |

35 years ago (June 18, 1981) my father-in-law gave me this Luger as a wedding gift. I will eventually give it to one of my grandsons. The "good" one!

 A silver 1912* German 3 (Drei) Mark coin that was made into a pendant by Colin Kleis, owner and cut coin artist of The Cut Coin Store in Murrietta, CA.

Got this wreck from 1945 - she's a great shooter though.
Paid little for it, it could be my one and only P38 - a project P38. Thinking between having her refinished properly or doing it myself. Will see.

Went for an effective rebluing; I didn't go for a complete re-haul, it would have not been worth commercially. The pistol has probably been through fire, so it was very hard to work with (in terms of metal re-finishing).
After some study, we had her stripped and blued the best it could be done without breaking the bank. I mean, if I really wanted a mint one, there's so many out there and not even so expensive. I did want a WWII P38 though; one that's seen use. And she has. Here she is; will be taking better pictures later.

Just got my 3rd Luger. 1915 DWM (9mm). Lighting doesn't do it justice. For a 103 year old pistol it's in great shape. It looks like it sat in a closet all that time. Bore is in great shape, too. Will shoot it in the next few days.

C96 mauser, 7.63 mauser caliber, though I do have a 9mm upper for it too. The original hammer broke so this is a spare until I can fix the cone hammer Edit to add I am thinking of getting it refinished back to cherry, it was made in 1897 and still gets shot regularly |

Attached File I sold the one pictured above in the thread, it was much likely a civilian model and I haven't been very interested in civilian models. I wanted possibly something used during the war so I picked up this 1938 - very happy. and finally I have a Luger in 9 mm |

I just purchased this one, haven't received it yet. I wanted something I could shoot, as I find the Luger operating system fascinating. This is an Interarms import, post-war production. I don't know what year yet, but it was listed as 10/10 condition. The pictures look like it was bought and just squirreled away. It might not have ever been fired. Attached File Also found a couple MecGar magazines on eBay. Hopefully they'll work well with this piece. |
