I bought a new Beretta M9 commercial (broke the seal in front of me) today and took it home to field strip and I had to use a little bit of force( just a little bit not alot) to get the slide off the frame. Is this normal for a brand new Beretta, will it get easier over time? |

Quoted: It was probably just the spring or guide rod catching a little. I don't ever recall much force needed for my 92 or the M-9's in the armory. watched some videos online and they all seemed to be able to get there slides off the frame easily. I think I found the problem, part of the slide on the left hand side, very back is damaged and is getting hung up (scraping) on the enlarged hammer pin head |

Hope it's a quick fix. |
