This guy got his hands on one of the few that came in before the importer switch. They were almost $800 street price from the old importer. He has a follow up short where he says it’s a better shooter than the Canik and Walther but still prefers Glock. (Surprise.) You can’t fake how good that trigger looks. Either way, that probably should not have gotten to you in that condition, and they should have taken the gun back under warranty, replaced that striker, and returned it to you pronto. The mechanical failure is bad, but the customer service is appalling. |

Decent customer service, not even great service, makes all the difference in the world. Great customer service makes you a fan of the brand. It's a tough position to be in, as a representative of a company, particularly when the company you work for doesn't back your play. I've quit a few companies because they wouldn't take care of the clients and I sell high end luxury pools & landscaping. I have very little tolerance for not taking care of people that spend hundreds of thousands of dollars with me. Stories like this make you walk away from untested products like this pistol. In this case, I'm hoping MAC (or SDS) will provide better service on their stuff. I really like their stuff and have bought a decent amount of it. I've dealt with Samson, Springfield Armory, Surefire, IWI USA, Bobro, Larue, and Keltec for warranty issues in the past. They were all great to deal with except Samson. Samson basically responding asking for more info and then fell of the face of the earth. I inquired a few more times and moved on with my life. I sold the Samson parts and went with another manufacturer. There are so many other competing companies to spend my money with. |

I have a few of the SDS (parent company of MAC) earlier Chinese import shotguns (Civet-12 & Vepr-12 clone) that were decent guns for the money. They dropped the Chinese guns shortly afterwards and went to the Turkish guns. I also have a few of their Turkish guns (Tisas 1911 & cheap 12ga. bullpup). I've been happy with everything and haven't had to warranty anything. I also purchased a few of their retro knives as well. |
| These are popping up for $550-$580 now. Trying not to impulse buy a Turkish pistol of unknown quality, so going to wait for some real reviews and user experiences. I know MAC won’t leave people high and dry but I’m not looking to waste my time when I already have a bunch of dust collectors. |
