I want to keep this thread going... I am interested in comments and opinions on any of the micro(SA)/ultra(Kimber) 1911s in 45ACP. I myself was leaning towards getting an SA GI micro because it will mainly be a back-up gun and I like the minimalist sights on them and the basic black parkerized finish. Also, PICS PLEASE. |
Hold both a Kimber & a SA in your hand, back to back. Especially feel for the bottom of the MSH in your palm. SA bevels theirs so as to not to dig into your palm, Kimber does NOT do this. I was all set to buy the Kimber, based on their rep, until I discovered this not so small tidbit. A gun that takes a shortcut like that will most likely have some more shortcuts I hadn't discovered yet, IMO. |
